SHVKM FOUNDATION (STICHTING SHVKM)
The purpose of the Stichting Historische Verzamelingen Korps Mariniers or SHVKM (Marine Corps Historical Collections Foundation) is to acquire, collect, systematise and maintain items as well as to compile and systematise data relating to the Marine Corps.
SPECIAL OBJECTS
This particularly relates to items and details of historical value and all things which are directly or indirectly to do therewith or which may be expedient to serve this purpose with a view to maintaining a Marine Corps museum, all of which in the broadest possible sense of the word.
In association with the Marines Museum, the SHVKM runs a multi-year policy and also compiles annual plans. Since the Defence Museums were given corporate status (on 1 April 2014), each museum puts together an annual plan.
